RECITAL 2010 “Fantasy”
INFORMATION PACKET
Please read all information
thoroughly and call with any questions! This is posted on web.

RECITAL PRACTICE &
DRESS REHEARSAL: Note that both of these nights are
very long and drawn out. We apologize now because it is a necessary evil before the big show. Remember to
bring things for the children to do while they wait such as games, books, food, coloring books and so
on.
Opening Number Practice –
Saturday May 16th from 1-4pm
Recital Practice – Thursday May 20th Eastern High School-5:00 Sharp / Solo’s
Performers @ 4:30
Wear regular dance clothes & shoes (No
Costumes)
Open
# will be rehearsed first & as soon as you are finished with your last dance you may
leave.
All baby classes will perform both of their dances back to back- ages 3-6 only!
Dress Rehearsal- Friday May 21st Eastern High School-5:00 Sharp / Solo’s
@4:30
This is a Full Dress Rehearsal, and all costumes-hair-makeup is Required! Please arrive in your
first outfit of the night.
Open # rehearsed first & you may leave when you have completed all of your
dances.
No Dances Will Go Out Of Order except for Solo Dancers. We will run the entire
show

RECITAL 2010 “Fantasy” : SATURDAY MAY
22nd EASTERN HIGH SCHOOL AUDITORIUM
DOORS OPEN 2:00 SHOW BEGINS
3:00 (app. 2 ½ - 3 hrs)
(a) All Performers are required to arrive @ 2:00….All performers must be
in the dressing rooms back stage at 2:45 ready to perform opening number-Cap Sleeve Shirt & Black
bottoms
(b) There will be no admittance without a ticket…see ticket
information!
(c) Doors will not open until 2:00 for students & persons attending
performance. Please inform family members of all rules regarding the auditorium &
performance.
(d) All Performers Must have a cover up of some sort (recital t-shirt, button
down shirt ext.) to cover costumes while in the auditorium watching. No Tap Shoes are to be worn anywhere except on
stage!

v TICKETS: There are only a certain number of seats (including the balcony). Each student is
allotted: 5 tickets for 1 student, 7 tickets for 2 students and 10 tickets for 3 students. If you do not need all
of your tickets please let us know because they will come in handy – If you need more we must know by Monday May
10th…All tickets will be passed out at Dress Rehearsal on Thursday night! Please specify if you need
handy cap seating.
v FOOD DRIVE FOR ADMISSION! Loaves & Fishes of
Burlington-Mebane / We will be doing a food
drive the night of Recital where we are asking all persons entering the performance to make a non-perishable
food donation in support of the Loaves & Fishes Christian Donation Center. On this spectacular night we
need to give back to our community by doing our part in helping feed the less fortunate. Since we DO NOT
CHARGE ADMISSION we are asking you to encourage your friends & family that will be joining to make a
small food donation. Thank You for all of your support.
§ Recital 2010 DVD Order: In Focus will be providing videos for the recital this
year. Order forms are currently located in the lobbies and will be taken up through recital night. Cost is $37.71
($35 plus Tax), they accept Checks or Credit Cards (Visa, Master Card, Discover). You may turn these in to me now
if you wish.
§ Flower Sales: All
flowers must be picked up as you arrive. Last call to pick up flowers will be 2:45 recital day!
§ Pictures: These will be passed out during practice &
dress rehearsal. Please see front lobby at auditorium.

sure that everyone with you follows them so that we can be respectful to the school & the
performers!
STUDENT REQUIREMENTS:
No Gum – No Toenail or
Fingernail Polish- No Shiny Hairbows- No Bangs in Face- No Rings, Watches, or Bracelets- No Bad Attitudes-No
underwear is to be worn so that we do not see it on stage!
All Performers must be
lined up & ready 5 numbers before their performance. We will not hunt any dancers or tumblers down. All
tumblers must stay backstage during the intermission to warm up their tumble passes.
Performers must be ready
& line up 3 before finale’ (you can stay in your last costume)
AUDIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
No Food or Drinks Allowed
in Auditorium- NO CELL PHONES – No Flash Photography –No Video Taping (Please respect my
wishes)- No Entering or Exiting During A Performance (This is Rude) please wait until the
performer on stage in fully finished.
Mom’s Section in
Auditorium will be on the bottom right where you will have fast access to the stage and dressing
rooms.
All persons entering the Recital must be respectful
of all the performers. Xtreme reserves the right to ask anyone they deem disrespectful to the performers &
the audience to vacate the grounds.
OTHER INFORMATION
Dressing Room Placement :

All Dance Team Students Dressing Room will be the Dance
Room located Stage left behind the stage.

Adv. Lyrical & Elite Jazz will occupy the 2 Dressing
areas located Stage Rt
·
All Dancers & Tumblers will occupy the Chorus Room
that is Located in the hall beside the Auditorium.
There will
be signs posted directing you where to go, please be respectful of the rooms that you are in and do not allow any
of the students to play with or touch anything in the rooms.
Auditorium Seating Assignments: These will be posted on
the row of seats as you come in so that we can have the classes seated together. This will make our lives easier
for Practice. THIS IS PRACTICES ONLY!
ü BAKE SALE 4 RECITAL: We still need volunteers to bake goodies for the Recital & Practice! These will be sold at
practice & During Intermission of Recital. The proceeds go to counter the Free Admission at the door. Please
call ASAP!
ü PIZZA & SUBWAY FOR REHEARSALS:
Thursday & Friday, it will be on sale
between 6:00-7:00 price will be announced. We will also have drinks for sale this evening as well. We do
need a few volunteers to help sell the pizza & make sure that people are putting trash in the proper
place.
ü SUMMER INFORMATION: This is posted on the internet & we are taking registration for Camp & Class! Summer Day
Camps are a great way to try a new class! Refer a friend & receive a discount!
